I began my journey through a 5 week course called Diabetes Undone. It focused on a whole food plant based diet. This was a huge learning curve for me so I signed up for Rebecca’s course which took a deeper dive into the concepts we had learned. In Rebecca’s group we received weekly menus, delicious recipes, met people on the same journey. We received both individual and group coaching and gained the knowledge to continue on our own. I took Rebeca’s 8 week class for the whole plant program. It was not easy at the start as it was very different than a life time of processed food. I wanted the easy button but had to learn how to shop and cook for this plan. It took 3 weeks to get into the swing of things.

 

The food was amazing as my tastes changed. I was surprised that the cravings from wanting sugar went away. Rebeca helped modify the meals to allow 3 meals at work for the long work days.

 

I was able to lose 30 lbs, lower my blood pressure, and lower my A1C. I am continuing to follow this lifestyle with slight modifications. I feel great and recommend the program to others.

When I first joined the Finding Wellness Coaching weight loss program I wanted to improve my physical and mental health. I was ready for a change.

As I started the program, I was surprised that it didn’t seem as hard as I thought it would be. The whole food plant based options were delicious.
